Second Law. (Asimov 1984) I shall argue that, in “The Bicentennial Man” (Asimov 1984), Asimov rejected his own Three Laws as a proper basis for Machine Ethics. Asimov clearly stated in first law that robots should not harm humans or allow humans to come to harm presumably from an external source. In the second law, it’s stated that robots should obey all human beings if and only if they are not ordered to harm any human. The 3rd clearly is based on robot’s safety.

A robot must always obey the orders of humans except where to do so would conflict with obeying the first law. 3. A robot must protect its own existence, except where to do so would conflict with the first or second laws.
Tilden's "Laws of Robotics". Mark W. Tilden is a robotics physicist who was a pioneer in developing simple robotics. His three guiding principles/rules for robots are: A robot must protect its existence at all costs. A robot must obtain and maintain access to its own power source. A robot must continually search for better power sources.
