1. Known pedophiles are not reported to police. This cult is notorious for protecting pedophiles and putting people inside and outside of the church at risk.
2. Extreme shunning. Anyone who leaves the cult is shunned by all the members of the church of Jehovah’s Witnesses. That includes children, parents, and siblings.
3. Women are not even used where they are badly needed in the organization. Because there is so little regards for women in the organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses, they wouldn’t even be allowed to be present to support a female child or teenager who is reporting sexual abuse during a church judicial committee hearing.
4. You are married or you are a virgin forever. If you are born in the cult and never marry you are supposed to stay a virgin for the rest of your life.
5. Teenagers are not allowed to date unless it’s with the intention of marriage. Dating without the intention of marriage simply doesn’t exist among Jehovah’s Witnesses.
6. Women are considered a lesser being, not quite at the level of men. One of the governing body members, Samuel Herd, went as far as saying during a public talk that the brain of the woman is 10% smaller than that of the man, which shows that she’s just not equipped for the role of headship.
7. A woman can’t pray in the presence of a man. A woman cannot pray for a group where even a single man is present. And if she needs to pray for a group of women she needs to cover her head, even if it’s with a ridiculous handkerchief that would make you laugh.
8. Women are not allowed to teach in the church. The only way a woman can talk from the platform of Jehovah’s Witnesses kingdom halls is by speaking to another woman facing her, not the audience.
9. Women are to be submissive to men in general. Women are basically students all throughout their Jehovah’s Witness’s life while men are allowed to teach.
10. Wives are in submission to their husbands. The wife is considered only a complement to her husband. She is not supposed to make any big decision in the marriage.

1. Watchtower 2012 Feb 15 p.29 "Selma recalls a lesson she learned from the Witness who studied with her. “On one particular day,” says Selma, “I didn’t want to have a Bible study. The night before, Steve had hit me as I had tried to prove a point, and I was feeling sad and sorry for myself. After I told the sister what had happened and how I felt, she asked me to read 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. As I did, I began to reason, ‘Steve never does any of these loving things for me.’ But the sister made me think differently by asking, ‘How many of those acts of love do you show toward your husband?’ My answer was, ‘None, for he is so difficult to live with.’ The sister softly said, ‘Selma, who is trying to be a Christian here? You or Steve?’ Realizing that I needed to adjust my thinking, I prayed to Jehovah to help me be more loving toward Steve. Slowly, things started to change.”After 17 years, Steve accepted the truth. Frequently Asked Questions

Can a woman plan a wedding in the jehovahs witness church?

Even her own wedding planning should be handled mostly by the groom and she’s only allowed to have inputs here and there. Women are basically students all throughout their Jehovah’s Witness’s life while men are allowed to teach. A woman could never give counsel to a man in the church.

What are the rules of jehovahs witnesses?

Other rules are specific to the beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses. And then some rules seem a little bit ludicrous. Know this: The beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses must be accepted and followed by each and every member. Why? They say it’s to maintain unity. However, to deviate from the beliefs would be to position oneself in a light of apostasy.

Can a jehovah witness live with another jehovah witness?

You should live with fellow Jehovah’s Witnesses only. You should ensure when choosing to live with Jehovah’s Witnesses, that they are excellent followers of the rules of Jehovah’s Witnesses. You shall not live in a house with someone of the opposite sex unless you are married to them.

What is a jehovah witness?

Witnesses use the name “Jehovah” rather than “God,” and they focus their worship on Jehovah rather than on Jesus, whom they believe was Jehovah’s only direct creation. The Holy Spirit is believed to be a force rather than a person.
