Delaware residents who receive benefits can get discounts to some awesome programs and organizations, such as Bike Delaware and the Royal Scottish Dance Society, and a $10 state parks pass! Find these and other awesome services for EBT recipients here.
The program operates similar to the SNAP (food stamps) program, by issuing cards with pre-loaded funds that can be used exclusively for food purchases. Pandemic EBT was originally scheduled to expire on September 30, 2020.
DSS is mailing Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards to households of about 29,400 schoolchildren not currently enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Family Assistance (TFA), or HUSKY Health/Medicaid; and will deposit P-EBT food benefits into their new accounts on Sunday, April 25.
Under ARPA, P-EBT is available this summer to all children who were eligible to receive free or reduced price meals during the current school year.
